Max Taylor is a fourth-year student at the University of Chicago, double-majoring in Political Science and Race, Diaspora, and Indigeneity. Originally from Montgomery County, MD, he has held leadership roles in several political and cultural organizations on campus. He currently serves as the Program and Development Chair for the Leaders of Color cohort at the University of Chicago Institute of Politics (IOP) and as Editor of the Politics and Economics section of The Independence, a student-led newspaper focused on African affairs. Previously, Max also served as the Political Chair of Pan-Africanism for the African and Caribbean Student Association.
Max’s research interests lie at the intersection of law and politics, with an additional focus on the social implications of artificial intelligence. He attended the Ralph Bunche Summer Institute at Duke University, where he analyzed the use of AI in the criminal justice system. He has also conducted prior research with GenForward in 2024, contributing to an opinion poll ahead of the Presidential election.
